    3. I am trying to find information on a family with the Surname West who lived in Duval in the 1880's. Names are Abraham, Henry, James, Edward. They are listed in the city directory. Are any of these people listed in any death records index or marriage index. I need a clue. Any help would be appreciated. They may have been listed in the 1885 state census. This census is not available in our area. I am also interested in Elijah Greek. He died in Duval county in 1892 but I have no idea where he is buried. Is there a kind soul out there anywhere who has iinformation to share? Jean

GA. and supposedly died abt. 1912 in Jacksonville. Elizabeth was b. abt. 1846-47, the dau. of John and Mahala (Dykes?) Regan who lived at Concord, Gadsden Co. FL.. CALL FOR SPEAKERS for the 25th Annual FSGS Conference Submission Deadline: 15 February 2001 The Florida State Genealogical Society (FSGS) is now accepting lecture proposals for the 2001 Conference (the 25th Annual FSGS Conference). Among the topics being considered are lectures on Computers/Technology & Genealogy, Beginning Genealogy, Society Management, Florida Research (i.e., history, available records, repositories, ethnic and religious groups, etc.), and broader genealogical topics including methodology, problem solving, publishing, military records, land records, etc. Proposals should include the following information: 1. The title of the lecture and a brief, but specific, outline and/or abstract. 2. Short summary for the program schedule (one or two sentences). 3. Audience skill level (i.e., beginner, intermediate or advanced.) 4. Speaker's name, address, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address. 5. Brief speaker's biography (150 words or less) 6. Brief resume of recent lecturers the speaker has given. Each session will be limited to one hour. Presentations should include a brief ten-minute question-and-answer period. Camera-ready syllabus material (due 1 October 2001) will be required for each presentation whether lecture, seminar or workshop. The syllabus will be distributed at the conference. Each speaker will be limited to a maximum of three presentations; however, more than three proposals may be submitted. FSGS conference lecturers will receive a limited compensation package (available upon request). I would like to know if there is anyone out there that can help locate a gravesite in Bayard for Elmer Jackson Batts or E. J. Batts or Elmore Jackson Batts. He died in 1933 was born in 1870. i would appreciate any help someone could give. She was my ggrand mother and she was born July 4, 1839 in Mandarin and died August 15, 1927 in Jacksonville. She married George W. Hartley April 22, 1858 and after he died she married Benjamin Southwick on Marchg 31, 1876. In her later life she was blind. She lived at 2550 Lackawanna Avenue in Jacksonville when she died..
