to: bo mosley bo, when you cited the legal description of the property that you said had been owned by your ancestor, william brantley mosely, you gave the section and township numbers, but not the range number. i have contacted the clay county property appraiser's office who says they might be able to find a plat of the property if you can provide the range number. julie
Hello Everyone. I would appreciate a lookup for BOBERG in the Jacksonville 1870 Census. I appreciate all efforts for assistance. Thank you. Nan
Winifred Brock (maiden name) Puryear (married name). (Was Winifred a "Brock" or a "Puryear" when she first appears in Jacksonville???? I am mostly interested in 1905-1919. The FTU Obits state that Winifred moved to Jacksonville 30 years before she died in 1940. William moved to Jax 45 years before he died in 1950. Due to this, I am wondering if she was married in Jax and not in Dover/Kinston, NC. That would make her in Jax=1910? and William in Jax=1905? I thought she was married in NC but can not find a record of this. So maybe she was married in Jax=1906-1918? As a married couple, they lived at 614 East 57th Street, Panama Park and are buried in Evergreen Cemetery. They attended Phoenix Baptist Church. That church is no longer active. I do not know where the old church records are or if they are available for research. After 1920, she was already married and rearing her "great niece, G.Loftin, age 6" at the address in Panama Park. Thanks for any help available. Martha in North Carolina
Sorry for the false message - wrong finger-wrong key! Please include me in your list for the Fire of 1901. My family have been in the Jax area for 150 years, so maybe some info from this source.
