Hi... I recently discovered another connection to my family tree....I was doing research with the help of Rosie Crews...when I discovered that Andrew Jackson Hodges (the son of Willis Aaron and Mahalia Johns Hodges) who had married Angeline Cowart actually had two children and not one that was was previously thought....I discovered that their children were James Perry and Addie Hodges....Previously thought was James Perry was their only child before they "divorced"...now I was able to find that they had 2...I was able to find out that Addie was their child when I went searching for what had happened to Angeline Cowart Hodges.....and discovered that she was living with her daughter Addie who had married Robert Benjmain O'Steen.....and she continued living with them through the 1930 census....also James Perry Hodges also lived with them until the 1920 census when so far he hasn't been found in 1920...but he was found in the 1930 census, married.... Addie was born May 1882 and died either in 1963 or 1966 in Duval Co, FL, married Robert O'Steen in Charlton Co, GA in Dec of 1897....and they had 6 children....Nettie, Robert Morgan, Perry Warren, Leroy, Ruby V., and Jesse W. I am seeking information on the children...I do know Robert Morgan married Anna Belle Mullis....and living in the home of James Perry Hodges....appreciate any help... James Perry Hodges, born May 1883 and died in 1945 in Duval Co, FL, he married Mary Louise Pringle....he was the stepfather to George Paul and Alberta Canova....and the father to Ola Hodges....appreciate any help in trying to find more information on this family too.... Appreciate any help and thank you..... Stephanie Grohol

I am looking for an inexpensive researcher to help me obtain a Death certificate for my Great Granfather who died in Clay 1938. As I live in Australia I have found my only option to pay by credit card is to go through Vitalcheck which is done by Fax and I have tried this for a Birth cert. in Illinois with no results for some time. Even after contact I did not get answers. Any advice on this subject would be very much appreciated. Barbara Victoria Australia.

Hello Everyone: Those of you who are working on your lines back to your 1600s American Ancestors will find the 1600s Ancestors Data Base to be of great help. I have recently posted several hundred new Ancestors to the Data Base bringing the total to over 29,000 entries both men and women. Also listed are several National Societies who have proven many of the Ancestors you will find here. There are also a few new Reference Works that contain many more lines. The entries are coded to indicate to which Society or Reference Work has at least one of their proven lines. Several of the National Societies have over 20 different lines from a single Ancestor. WHEN YOU ENTER THE 1600s ANCESTORS DATA BASE be sure to look at the top of each data page for the link that takes you to the "Data Base Information Page". There you will find the list of codes and how to use them. This is MUST reading if you are to understand the Data Base and how to use it. We are constantly updating the Data Base with Additional Ancestors and references as time permits. More work has been devoted to updating listings of the female Ancestors by going back and including marriage dates. This takes much time and we still have a lot of work to do there. You will find the 1600s Ancestor Data Base at; http://www.firstfamilies.org/db/ For those of you who are AOL members you may have trouble connecting to many pages that may come up with a message such as "Page Does Not Exist" and you should cure that by using your browser feature of Copy and Paste the URL to your browser and pressing your enter key. Everyone has free access to the Data Base and to all our posted pages. Enjoy and Happy Hunting Ryan Jackson Data Base Manager America's First Families
