    1. [FLDADE] MANN - KERKOW Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old snap shot photograph of Shirley MANN (Shirley SEEDS) and Charlie MANN with Donald KERKOW and Otto KERKOW which was taken in the early 1900's. Shirley is noted as Gaylord's Mother and Charlie is Gaylord's step-father. Otto is also mentioned as Donald's Father. The photograph is taken outdoors in a large field but I don't know what the venue is. Shirley is holding a newspaper with the headline "Mob Riots" showing in the photograph. Shirley and Charlie appear to be in their 30's and Donald about 3 years old and his Dad in his 30's as well. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding this family: Shirley SEEDS was b. 13 Jul 1885 in Cleveland, OH to parents Franklin Elmore SEEDS (1857-1923) and Elizabeth DEVINE (1863-1933). Shirley had four siblings including, Eunice SEEDS POPE (1884-1923); Hazel SEEDS HENNESSY (1886-1970); Gladies Matilda SEEDS GLEASON KERKOW (1891-1961); and Frank Alexander SEEDS (1896-1964). Shirley was married to Harry Louis GRESHAM (1884-1933) and together they had one son, Gaylord W. GRESHAM (1904-1976). Shirley's second marriage was to C. F. MANN (b. 1883). Shirley died 15 Dec 1921 in Jefferson Co., KY and is buried in the Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, KY. Charles Ferguson MANN was b. 3 Nov 1881 in Covington, KY to parents John William MANN (1839-1913) and Mary M. JOHNSON (1858-1932). Charles was one of three children born to this couple including, Edna T.; Charles Ferguson; and Bessie Blaine MANN, all born between 1880 and 1884. Charles' father had three additional children by a previous marriage including, Beliz Columbus "Bela"; Squire; and Margaret "Maggie" MANN all born between 1865 and 1874. Charles was first married to Shirley SEEDS GRESHAM (1884-1921) and after her death married two additional times, one to Lorena ? (b. 1896) and the other to Martha DANIEL (b. 1895). Charles died 29 Jun 1968 in River, KY. Donald Otto KERKOW was b. 22 Feb 1916 in Covington, KY to Louis Otto KERKOW (1886-1962) and Gladys or Gladies Matilda SEEDS GLEASON (1891-1961). He was one of four children born to this couple including, Donald Otto; Robert Frank; and Delmar Seeds; and Gladies Lee KERKOW, all born between 1916 and 1929. Donald married twice, first to Catherine G. Cartwell FINRAN (1914-1982) and together they had two children, and his second marriage was to Norma Emma PENNOYER. Donald died 19 Aug 1998 in St. Lucie Co., FL and is buried in the Woodlawn Park North Cemetery and Mausoleum in Miami, FL. Donald's father was Louis Otto KERKOW b. 22 Oct 1886 in Cincinnati, OH to parents Otto L. KERKOW (b. 1842) and Fredrecia KERKOW (b. 1841). Louis Otto had one sibling, a brother Paul Emil KERKOW (1884-1966) and he died 16 May 1962. I'm hoping to locate someone from the family so that the photographs can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

    3. Sorry, his name was Robert Miller, and the only thing I know is that he committed suicide. The obituary on her find a grave didn't say anything about Robert. They were only married a year. This is all I know. This is Joyce's obituary: Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Ann Miller, 29, will be held March 2, 1962 at the Stensel Funeral Home with burial in Maple Grove cemetery. Mrs. Miller died February 26 in Miami, Florida following a shooting in the family home. She was killed by her husband, Robert, 50, who then took his own life. The tragic events stemmed from a marital dispute between the Millers that came to a climax when Mrs. Miller attempted to move out of their home. The couple had observed their first wedding anniversary only twelve days before. Mrs. Miller was reportedly seeking a separation from her husband and had been staying with friends the previous two days. A neighbor was accompanying her to her home to remove her clothes when she was shot. Miller shot himself shortly after the woman left the room. Mrs. Miller's two sons by a former marriage were staying with her parents in Lake Worth, Florida at the time of the shooting. She was born near Farmer City on December 20, 1932 the d/o Carl and Ida Curtis Bennett. She is survived by her two sons: Curtis and Steve Levandowski; her parents; three sisters: Elizabeth Grimes, Farmer City; Loraine Green, Harvard; and Doris Gilmore, Arrowsmith. She is a niece of Roger Curtis, Farmer City. Casket bearers were John Curtis, Robert Howe, Carl Grimes, Russell Howland, Kenneth Curtis and Dave Swartz. 1. [FLDADE] WILSON - ORCUTT Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel via
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Eliza WILSON ORCUTT which was taken at the Spencer Studio in Malone, NY. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with Eliza appearing to be in her 40's or 50's at the time. In addition to her name, someone has written "Mac's and Hope's Grandmother ORCUTT" and "also Mayfred and Manfred's Grandmother". I believe that this is the same family you've included in your family tree. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding this family: Eliza G. WILSON ORCUTT was b. in Aug 1847 or 1850 in Bangor, NY to parents Elijah WILSON Sr. (1812-1889) and Abigail BOWEN or BOURN (1818-1899). Eliza was one of 10 children born to this couple including, Clarissa Betsey WILSON CONGER (1837-1906); Sarah I. WILSON DUSTIN (1841-1921); Isaac WILSON (b. 1843); Elijah WILSON Jr. (b. 1845); Eliza G. WILSON ORCUTT (1847-1904); Eveline WILSON (b. 1849); Sophrona WILSON (b. 1850); Susan A. WILSON (1852-1924); Ellen R. WILSON FRENCH (1856-1921); and Francis C. WILSON (1860-1908). Eliza married Benjamin L. ORCUTT (1842-1920) and they had four children including, Fred, Harry B. (living in San Jose, CA when she died), Josie, and Susie ORCUTT. All but Harry were living with their parents when Eliza died 30 Jul 1904 in Dickinson Center, NY. Eliza is buried in the Ives Cemetery in Dickinson Center, NY. Her son Harry B. ORCUTT was b. 1877, and his son Malcom ORCUTT was b. 22 May 1906 and was living in Dickinson, NY in 1990 and in Brushton, NY in 1997. 1. Re: [FLDADE] Look Up Please
    2. Hi Tami, It might help if you could provide a bit more information. What are you looking for? What are the names? Can you narrow the date? I'm not in Miami-Dade, but I know there are lots of helpful people on the list. Rel@ively, Patrice List Admin. 3. Your best bet to find if there is an obit or death notice is to contact the Miami-Dade Public Libary at genealogy@mdpls.org. They have a wonderful, VERY extensive database to check and will let you know if one exists. For a minimal fee (used to be $5, they will send you a copy). 1. [FLDADE] DIRRIM Family Photographs
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" two old photographs of Ray and Guy DIRRIM. One of Ray was taken at the Smith Studio in Chicago, Illinois, likely in the 1890's or early 1900's with Ray appearing to be in his teens at the time. In addition to Ray's name, someone has also written "Bert & Guy's brother" on the back of the photograph. The second photograph is one of Ray and Guy DIRRIM with no studio or location identified. The second photograph appears to have been taken in the 1900's with both in their teens or 20's at the time. Based on limited research and thanks to a couple of DIRRIM Family Researchers I know the following about the men in the photographs: The young men are sons of Frances M. & Martha DIRRIM who lived near Stanton, IA. Raymond Crawford DIRRIM was b. 26 Jul 1881 in IA and was living in Chicago when he registered for the draft in 1918. He was not considered for service because he didn't have the complete use of one hand because of a permanent injury to two fingers. He and his wife Alice DIRRIM were living at 1628 Adams St in Chicago and he was working as an Investigator for N. J. Turner. Ray C. DIRRIM died 29 Oct 1971 in Dade County Florida at the age of 90. Guy DeLoss DIRRIM was b. 29 Jan 1883 in Red Oak, IA to parents Francis M. DIRRIM (1860-1944) and Martha METCALF (1862-1950). Guy married Mabel Blanche GASSON (1881-1974, daughter of Thomas and Sarah GASSON), the couple had no children. Guy's draft registration records indicate that he was crippled in one leg so it is not likely he served either. Guy DeLoss DIRRIM died 20 Apr 1961 in Villisca, IA and is buried in the North Page Cemetery in Hepburn, IA. Mabel's sister Celia GASSON married C. Elbert "Bert" DIRRIM (1875-1939) who was a brother to the two young men in these photographs. Census records provide the following additional information: 1895 census of Douglas, IA: Raymon C. DERRIAM, age 13, born Page IA 1915 Census of Douglas Township, Page Co. IA: Guy DIRRIM, age 32, Farming, born IA, parents born OH 1920 census of Douglas, IA: Guy DIRRIM, age 36, born IA, parents born OH, a Farmer Mable DIRRIM, wife, age 38, born IA, parents born England/IL And living directly next door. Bert DIRRIM, age 44, born IA, parents born OH, a Farmer Celia DIRRIM, wife, age 43, born IA, parents born England/IL Florence DIRRIM, dau, age 12, born IA 1930 census of Villisca City, IA: Guy D. DIRRIM, age 47, married at age 30, born IA, parents born OH, a Farm Manager Mabel B. DIRRIM, wife, age 48, married at age 31, born IA, parents born England/IL 1930 census of Chicago, IL: Raymond DIRRIM, age 48, married at age 36, born IA, parents born OH, a Credit Investigator Alice DIRRIM, wife, age 38, married at age 21, born NE, parents born Ireland/NJ 1940 census of Chicago, IL: Raymond C. DIRRIM, age 58, born IA, a Credit Manager Alice C. DIRRIM, wife, age 48, born NE I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photographs can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
