    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/EZ.2ADI/788.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Grayce, My suggestion for obtaining the obit/death record is to go to the web site for Broward County Library. WWW.browardlibrary.org. When the site comes up click on "Click Here To Enter". This will bring you to "ask a librarian" On the right side of the page click "get help from a librarian in real time" There are three choices as to how to ask a question. Which ever way you choose you can ask if they will do a look-up for a death/obit notice in the newspaper. Give all the info you have:full name, exact date of death, county of death (Broward). Also ask if they charge a fee for this service. I have done this with libraries all over the country and have never been told the service is not available. Sometimes a fee is charged: sometimes you prepay, other times you receive a bill in the mail. Sometimes the service is free. Let me know if you are successful with this. Many people here will not go to the library to do look-ups. The library is in the center of town, the parking is extremely expensive, then you might have to wait on a busy day for a microfilm reader, it can be a time consuming job to go through the microfilms, etc. Carol-Anne
