He is working on a book about a specific battalion from WWII. We are searching for a veteran of that group, one Howard B Rich Jr from Ohio. In looking through the SSDI, I found a Howard Rich, b 10 Oct 1897, d Dec 1975 Ft Lauderdale, SS issued Ohio bef 1951. I am hoping this might be his father and that the obit will mention where the son can be found. In other words, I am only interested in next of kin. Thank you for any help.
