I am new to this list, and have a question about finding obits in Broward County from 1993 and 1996. One is from Pompano Beach, the other Deerfield Beach. If there is someone who has access to a library with newspapers, and can look these up, here is the info: Lawrence Kuntz died Nov 30, 1993 in Pomoano Beach Frances Kuntz died March 26, 1996 in Deerfield Beach. If the newspapers are on microfilm and can they be sent out on inter library loan, I can do this myself, but I do not know how easy that is to do - some counties do not send out!. Thanks, Lucy in SC.
Am willing to do Chicago IL Tribune obit lookups in trade for obit lookups that I need. I need obit lookups for the following Kirschner, Jean d) 8/22/1992 in FL-Pompano Beach, Broward Co Jim Dlask 4538 N Avers Chicago IL 60625

Through list that I am a member, I want to extend a huge THANK YOU to PAM, for all the help she has been giving me by researching my Great Grandparents and Great Uncle in the New Jersey area. I could only provide her with minimal information (as that is all that I had), but Pam has been very unselfish about spending her lunch time looking through microfilm, making inquires, etc. and keeping me posted on her progress. PAM, THANK YOU and I hope that I have the opportunity to help someone else, as you have me. Jan
Dear List(s): I too have had many problems acquiring genealogy documentation (Death Cert., etc.) from New Jersey (I offer my apologies to those in New Jersey, this is not personal). I am sending this to a number of list that I am a member of with the hopes that, as a group, the below contacts will be ‘bombarded” with tons and tons of E-mail from us genealogist – hoping that changes can be made and that acquiring the information we need is a little less cumbersome, and I might add at times expensive (Social Security Applications – for just a photo copy it use to be $7.00 now it is $27.00 with us supplying all information – OUR TAX DOLLARS plus more $ at work????). I have listed means of contacting your local Senator/House of Rep. as I feel our voice should also be heard within the State we live, as well as on a Federal level. Hopefully with pressure from the genealogist (and we do vote these people into office) things will be made easier, rather then more difficult. I know this is a lot of work to contact these people, but a little work now may save a lot of time and effort later on not only for us, but the genealogist that follow us. So please, if possible try to do your part. I have contacted each one and am hoping that they all get ‘bombarded’ with mail/contacts so something IS DONE. If anyone takes offense to this or feels they do not want to participate, PLEASE just delete it, I do not want to hear about your objections/beliefs/whatever, but I do want to thank you for the consideration anyway. Let me start at the TOP: President and Vice President of the United States of America President George W. Bush: president@whitehouse.govVice President Richard Cheney: vice.president@whitehouse.govFAX for the above: 1-202-456-2461 Senator(s) of the State you live in: Go to http://www.senate.gov/ - find your state (“Choose A State’) and work from there – contact information is provided – you may have to dig for it, but it is there. Oh, for those in New York State, you may want to keep a check on Hillary Clinton – I have written a number of times and have had NO reply. I guess she is busy with other ‘matters’, although she does have a very ‘pretty’ website! House of Representative(s) of the State you live in: Go to http://www.house.gov/ - type in your full zip code and as above, follow through. Bringing up New York State again, I have to note that the office of Maurice Hinchey is the most helpful that I have ever had to contact for help. New Jersey Governor: http://www.state.nj.us/governor/govmil.html - Governor James E. McGreevey does have a wonderful web page(s) for the State of New Jersey. If you live in New Jersey you can find help for just about anything (notation: except ease of acquiring genealogy certificates, etc.) The mailing address is: The State House, PO Box 001, Trenton, NJ 08625.If you go to ‘Contact the Governor’ there is an Electronic Correspondence to Governor James E. McGreevey section. It is rather lengthy, but I feel worth the time. For Email Topic I used “Arts and Leisure”, as a sub-topic –Historical Preservation and also checked the “If you have not found the topic/sub-topic you wish to write about please check here”. I used the Topic and Sub-topic so my complaint(s) would be ‘pigeon holed’ into one area with the hopes that whomever is assigned to open and read this section will get tons and tons of complaints about the system for acquiring genealogical documentation. Department of Health and Senior Services http://www.nj.govhealth/feedback.shtml - this is the area that Joseph A. Komosinski, State Registrar works in (POB 370, Trenton, NJ 08625-0370, phone: 1-609-292-4087, Fax: 1-609-777-1337. The DHSS Feedback form is short and to the point, not like Governor McGreevey’s Again, thank you for your time and consideration and if anyone knows of a different way of contacting the above, GO FOR IT! I am searching for descendants of George Wasington CRIM. Specifically, I"m hunting Harry Edgar CRIM who moved to Florida with his wife Edna ZINNSMASTER and children Warren, Jack and Marie. Harry was b. 19 Feb 1882 at Feed Springs, Harrison Co., OH. Residences were at Canton, OH and,in 1956, 415 Marmore Ave. Coral Gables, FL. My grandmother, Rachel O. CRIM was his sister. I know of no other members of their generation still living. Possibly Harry's children are still living. If so they may be the last of that generation of CRIMS. I would like to make contact with any of them and get re-acquainted. I used to go to their lake house for CRIM family reunions. Thanks for any help. JIm Barkley
