I was looking to finding a death certificate in Broward county, The USgenweb/Broward county page said the cost of a death certiicate before 1990 is $5.00 and and after 1990 $10.00. another page has the cost of all death certificates costing $10.00. I want a death certificate for 1966- So can it really cost me only $5.00 for a death certifiacte(I can't believe it would be so cheap!) In looking the Broward Co. site given, I noticed that death certificates after 1990 ordered directly from the county cost $10.00. However, if you order from the State Office of Vital Statistics in Jacksonville they are $5.00. Just for information. It might take only a few more days than ordering from the county. I never knew my father,Donald Duvall. He was married to Sharleen Sylvia Roberts. She went to Stranahan High in Ft.Lauderdale,Fl. Class of 1966. I was born April 2,1968, female,35. Ft.Lauderdale is the last known whereabouts of my father. Mom said he is from Virginia- German heritage. Should be in his late 50's or early 60's. Mom says he never cared for me and that they had a bad marriage. Who knows what else she's lied about? My grandmother disagreed and says that my father was a loving man that was not allowed (by my mother) to see me. One of my parent's songs was "Happy Together". I was told that when they were splitting up my dad reportedly threw the radio at the wall and broke it because "Happy Together" came on and he was upset. He had an uncle that painted and was good at human figures "life-size portraits" I was born at "Broward General Hospital" April 2, 1968. My father used to stand across the road from my grandmother's house "where my mother went to stay with me" ! and watch for me to be held in front of a window so he could see me. He also tried to see me at a shopping mall (or) center but my mother would not let him. She told me he did'nt want me, sounds like he did actually. If my father sees this then I have light red hair that turns more blonde in summer and blue eyes, I'm 5ft.10in. tall and have a medium frame. I weigh 151 lbs. and look slim, it's muscle that makes me heavy. You have 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren that I wish you knew. I am new to searching in Broward county and I was wondering if anyone could help me by telling me where to go for information, and the best tips you have for finding things inthis area. I need information on a woman named Helen Mohr, who lived in Hollywood Florida and died there 9-14-1969. not sure when exactly she moved to this area except maybe after 1945.I know she had a daughter Gloria, and sister Ellen miller(husband melvin miller) who lived in Hollywood for awhile.
