Here is the information I have so far: James J. Kearney (b.1917, d.?) who I believe was originally from New Jersey, married to Audrey Allen (b.?, d.?). I know they both settled in Plantation, confirmed by a known cousin named Bob Kane, who claimed them as his uncle and aunt. I was told that James was a retired FBI agent. James and Audrey had several children who are likely still alive today. They are: -James J. Kearney (b.1948), married a woman named Susan; their children are another James J. Kearney (b.August 23, 1982) and an Eamonn Kearney (b.March 5, 1987). They may have moved to Portland, OR -Kathleen Kearney (b.?), don't know if she married anyone -Carol Kearney (b.February 1947), married Pat Saba; their children are Patrick James Saba and Joseph Saba. -Candace Kearney (b.December 2, 1949), married Ralph Govin; they have two daughters named Marissa and Jamie, and a third daughter whose name we do not have. -Mary Colleen Kearney (b.May 1954), married Bill Flad; don't know if they have children. -Sheila Kearney (b.October 1958), married Raul Martinez; they have a son named Eddie who we know of, and possibly other children. There is a Lance Freer on the Florida Death Index born 4 Apr 1894 - died 12 Apr 1970 in Broward County, Florida. Also on the U.K. records there is a Lance Boddy Freer born in the June Quarter of 1894, District: Driffield, County: East Riding of Yorkshire So far that is all the information I've been able to find. I do not live in Broward County so can't attempt to get an obituary for you. James married Eliza Jane DANFORTH b. 7 June 1833, the daughter of Simon DANFORTH and Mary BISHOP. The couple was living in Oshkosh, WI during the 1880 census along with two daughters, Mary age 16 and Gertrude age 2. James R. was 51 years old, born in VT with both of his parents also VT born. Eliza J. was age 46, born in NY with her parents born in NY and CT respectively, both children were born in WI. Gertrude Alice STONE was born 18 June 1878 in Oshkosh, WI. Harry HOBBINS and his wife Kittie Louise were living in Madison, WI listing her name as Louise during the 1880 census. Harry was listed as 26 years old, an insurance agent born in England and Louise age 22 with parents born in WI and NY respectively. I also believe that Charles SANBORN who married Gertrude Alice STONE was probably Charles SANBORN son of Silas & Emily SANBORN who were living in Madison, WI during the 1880 census. Silas was age 39, NY born and Emily age 35, VT born. Charles was said to be 9 years of age, born in WI. Their son Henry SANBORN b. 1 Sept 1902, died 17 Jan 1992. I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that this wonderful old treasure can be returned to the care of family.
