TODAY IN BREVARD HISTORY JUNE 4 1946 As the United States wound down from its war effort, many properties, used by the military during World War II, were returned to private or municipal owners. Ti-Co Airport, near Titusville, was turned over to Brevard County today by the United States Navy, which had used it as an auxillary landing field for its planes stationed in Orlando and at the Banana River Naval Air Station (now Patrick Air Force Base). -- - ----------------------------------------------------------- This was excerpted with permission from the maillist fhstoday which is limited to bulletins.
