(McLemore)Skill family came to Titusville, Brevard County, FL from Petersburg, VA, shortly after the death of Mary around 1890. Children of this marriage were all born in the Petersburg VA area: - Daisy Skill, b April 11, 1871, who married Thomas Nelson Decker (mentioned in the above story) and settled in the Petersburg VA area - Grace Irene Skill, who married Henry Brooker, Sr in St. Martin's Episcopal Church, Jupiter (then Dade Co.) FL on August 21, 1902, and settled in Homestead FL. - Charles J. Skill, b 08/18/1878 d 06/26/1960 Madera, CA. - Frank Lassiter Skill b 08/18/1888, Married Pearl Eleanor Turnage, 6 Jun 1912 in Miami, Dade, FL, and settled in Homestead FL, d July 23, 1968. - Ella Louise Skill, b c1887, who died in a boating accident near Jupiter, FL around 1909. I am Frank C. Gentner, son of Elizabeth Pearl Skill Gentner, daughter of Frank L. Skill and Pearl Turnage Skill. BTW, Pearl's family John Issac Turnage - Mary McGowen came from Farmerville, LA to Titusville in 1892. In 1896, when they took the first train to Miami, where they settled. My brother Robert N. Gentner and his family live in Lake Mary, Seminole Co., FL. In addition to the rest of my family, I am in touch with Ronald Emory Decker, son of Emory Decker, who was son of Thomas Nelson Decker. Also with Jacqueline Brooker Walker, daughter of Henry Brooker, Jr, who was married to Grace Irene Skill, sister of Daisy Skill. We are trying to extend our family tree and share information. At 80, my mother, Elizabeth Pearl (Skill) Gentner is now living with us in Centerville near Dayton, OH, and is the last of this line of the Skills that I am aware of.
