    1. Hagin/Hagan surname
    2. I am looking for information on Edward Hagin/Hagan born 1858 in Florida. He married Miss Jane Harrell in 1876 in Duval County. They show up on the 1900 census married and owning their farm outright. They have lots of children. Nora, Joseph, Toby ,Cornealus, Beady,Asa and Etna.(twins) They also have a niece living with them. Ava Hagin That means that Edward had a brother. By 1910 Jane is in Polk County running a boarding house and the twins are living with her and Jane is widowed. I am looking for info on where Edward died and is buried and who his sibblings were and who his parents were. I am looking for info on Jane. The same questions: where she died and when and where she is buried. I would like to know who her siblings were and who her parents were. I know that there are Hagan kin buried in Brevard but I can't make a connection. Margie

    1. Eau Gallie Cemetary
    2. Hi list, I am new to this list so if I say something I shouldn't or ask a supid question, I appoligize in advance. I am looking for information on the Eau Gallie Cemetary. I was told at one time that it was now part of Melburne City cemetaries. My sister is buried there and we would like to locate her grave. My parents tried before they passed on, but couldn't located her grave. When I called the City, I never really found out anything. Maybe I called the wrong place. I need to locate this and find out who has the platte so that we can put a marker on her grave. Not finding her grave upset my parents so much that some of my Dad's last words were "Mary, I can't find the baby". He was talking to my Mother who had past away 14 years before him. My Dad was in the Navy and we moved from place to place. He was a Pearl Harbor surviver, Korean War, World War II and Viet Nam. He would say "after everything he'd done, he couldn't understand why he couldn't find their baby's grave." If there is anyone who might be able to help me by steering me in the right direction to get some information on this, I would greatly appreciate it along with the rest of my siblings. Thanks in advance. Pat

    1. Hagan and Higginbotham surnames
    2. My grandmother was Ruby Hagan and she married Clarence Higginbotham They lived in the Jacksonville/Callahan area in the 1920s Ruby's parents were Joseph Jackson Hagan and Nellie Louise Keen also from that area. I am looking for info on Joseph Jackson Hagan's parents. Hagan was spelled Hagin until the 1920 census. His parents were Edward and Jane. I have a marriage record for Edward Hagin and Jane (Harrell) for 1876 the year that Edward was to have married. I found Edward and Jane on the census for 1900 in Florida with Joseph and his sibblings in Florida. In 1920 Jane has moved to Polk County and Edward is not listed. I am looking for info on Edward as to where he lived and died and where he is buried. I am looking for info on Jane also. My Grandfather was Clarence Higginbotham His father was William M Higginbotham and he married Tabitha Parker in may of 1900 in Charleton ,Ga. On the June of 1900 Florida census record Tabitha and William are listed and she has 3 boys with the last name of Parker. Her marriage certificate lists her as Parker. I assume that she was married before and either is divorced or widowed. I am looking for her first husbands name and her parents name and her maiden name. Any suggestions Margie

    1. SHIVER obit
    2. I'm new on this list. Recently I learned where my grandfather died, Lakeland FL. From his obit I learned my aunt's name, Edith Short Shiver. I also learned I have 2 first cousins, both females. Is there any chance I could find a volunteer who would look up my aunt's obituary at the library? I am 71 and very anxious to find these cousins! Edith Shiver b. 2 Sept. 1904 d. Jul 1985 (I don't have a date in July) Last residence: Cocoa FL She was born in Sask. Can. Her parents were James Sanford SHORT & Fannie GIBSON. She resided in NE and Chicago IL. Her previous married names were Lingle & Hanaman. No names were given for the cousins, only the notation "daughters." A 20 year search has brought me this far. :-) With gratitude and hopefulness, Marilyne Short Payne
