My maternal grandparents are Buck and Barbara Griffis of Lawtey/Raiford, FL. Buck died in 1952 and Barbara died in 1958, I believe. They had 10 children, one infant girl died. There are four surviving children of Buck and Barbara. I believe Buck's birth name was Alphonso. he had brothers adn sister, but I have not been able to locate anyone who knows the descendents. Barbara was married once before her marriage to Buck, to a Green(e). They had one daughter, Pearl. I believe Barbara's maiden name was Silcox or Wilcox. She was of Cherokee Indian descent.
