Are you a descendant of this HAYMANS family??? Heard or read any family stories concerning James H. HAYMANS taking in his nephew, Overby STRICKLAND or about the death of his parents, Sarah HAYMANS and James A. S. [L?} STRICKLAND??? James H. HAYMANS b. Abt 1835 & Esther Ann SAPP b. Abt 1840 Can anyone enlighten me as to who the parents of Esther Ann SAPP may have been??? children: Stouten A. b. 1870 Liberty Co GA William D. b. 1865 Liberty Co GA James B. A. b. ? Liberty Co GA Rosella b. 1868 Liberty Co GA Lauvenia b. ? Liberty Co GA Ida Rebecca b.? Liberty Co GA Esther Ann b. ? Liberty Co GA Bedie b. ? Liberty Co GA Elizabeth b. 1862 According to the 1870 Liberty Co GA Census this James H. HAYMANS family had a nephew, Overby STRICKLAND, age 15, working as a farm laborer and attending school while living with them. Overby's mother, Sarah, was a sister of James H. HAYMANS. Overby's parents, James A. S. STRICKLAND and Sarah HAYMANS must have died between the 1860 Tattnall Co GA Census and the 1870 Liberty Co GA Census because all of their children are then living with HAYMANS relatives. Any HAYMANS descendants out there that may have known when James A. S. STRICKLAND and Sarah HAYMANS died or where they may be buried? By 1876 A. A.Overby STRICKLAND and Sarah Buford SMITH were married in GA. They had their first child, Stouten M. by 1877 in GA. By 1880 they were living in or around Waldo or Theressa in N FL. by 1885 A. A. Overby STRICKLAND and family owned land at about where the Keystone Heights [FL] Airport is now. I will appreciate any time and effort that you may spend concerning this inquiry. Looking forward to hearing from you soon...Happy Holidays ! Peg
