Posted on: Bradford County Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Fl/Bradford?read=146 Surname: Guthry, Guthery, Guthrie ------------------------- I am trying to find out what happened to Sarah E. Guthry. She shows up on the 1850 Alachua Federal Census, which covered part of what is now Bradford County. I assume she either died before the 1860 or she married. The 1860 shows the rest of the family in Clay County. Most likely she married. She was 8 at the time of the 1850 Census which would have made her 18 whent he 1860 census was taken. Most girls were married by that age.

    1. 1830 Bradford County Birth
    2. I have an ancestor that stated on a Pension record he was born at Bradford County Ga. in 1830 or 1833. (Actually his wife did) Does anyone know if there was a Bradford Ga across the state line from Bradford Co Fl? Does anyone know of any Tuckers in Bradford County in 1830? My ancestor's name was James Tucker. He may have been there until mid 1850. Have no idea of his parents names. Any suggestions? Thank you, Gloria

    3. Posted on: Bradford County Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Fl/Bradford?read=136 Surname: Underhill, Curry, Simmons ------------------------- My husband is descended from a woman named Mary A. Curry who we believe may have been the daughter of your William H. Underhill. This Mary A. Curry married William A. Simmons in 1866; however, rumor has it that she had a child named Joe Curry from a previous marriage. In the 1880 Volusia County census, this Joe Curry is living with his uncle Joseph Underhill and shown as age 17. So, per this theory, Joseph would have been either Mary's brother or uncle. Do you have any information about any of these people in your records that would confirm or disprove this? Thank-you.

    2. The Reschke Family
    3. I am looking for information on Henry Minor Roberts. He was born 01 Aug 1871 and was murdered in Wauchula, FL 11 Feb 1932. According to an article in the local paper at that time, he came to the Wauchula area ten years prior to his death from Bradford County. He had a sister, Mrs. Laura McCrary, who was residing in Georgia at the time of her brother's death. His wife was Bertie Tillis. I don't know when or where they were married, but I assuming probably in your area. At the time of his death they had seven children. I have no idea who his parents were. He's the brick wall I'm trying to breakdown for a couple of his grandchildren. All seven children are deceased. Thank you for any help you might be able to give me. Edna Roberts Reschke

    3. Hi list... I was just wondering if there is anyone out there that would be interested in helping with the page and maybe eventually taking over the page. I find myself with the desire to do much more for the site, but without the time. I think I could find the time to help some one learn html and ftp if that is necessary. Bradford County and Starke are are practically on my doorstep, but I never end up going in that direction. I work at the Alachua County Courthouse in Gainesville and I'm currently working on the Clerk of the Court's Website there as well as being Ancient Records Coordinator. Now my wife on the other hand, works in Starke. She teaches at Bradford Elementary. But being a teacher she has very little time to help me with things for the page. She would rather be doing her own genealogy if she had extra time. The new grandbabies have also added to the list of things she would like to do with her extra time and honestly, they can get me off of the computer easier than just about anything else. So if anyone is interested, please let me know. There is no magic involved. There is quite a bit of work at times, but I do so enjoy it. 1. CONNER - FOWLER
    2. Margaret Dyal Morgan... I appreciate your response to my recent FLBRADF-L post. Below please find all that I have in my accumulated research concerning Willis W. CONNER, Jr and Lula FOWLER family. This information comes from a booklet which must have been compiled by or for the Willis W. CONNER, Sr. Family. There is no name of an author or date compiled. Willis W. CONNER, Sr b. 1845, was a brother of my g Grandfather William R. " Billie" CONNER. I am sorry I do not know of the where abouts of Mary Francis or Edna Earl. Are you perhaps of the George DYAL family associated with the DYAL Cem, not far from the CONNER Cem, near Starke, FL? Not sure this information will help you any. Perhaps an address or phone # search of the name,Samuel COMBS [presumably a son of Mary Francis] would yield an answer of her where abouts. Peg Conner Corliss Willis Washington CONNER, Jr b.
