The mission of this library has been to identify, acquire, appraise, preserve, organize, and describe important historical material relating to the history of the Alabama Black Belt and its families, the history of Mobile and southwest Alabama and its people, and the history of the University of South Alabama. In her presentation for WFGS, Ms Ellis will be touching on two specific families whose lives are documented in the collection. Those who have relatives or ancestors who lived in southwest Alabama will be especially interested in this program. Members and guests are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be available at 9:45.
