Jim, I have enjoyed reading the deeds you posted but I did not see the first msg in which you explained where you got them and how much access you have so please excuse me if I am asking something you have ruled out. My great great grandfather, DR. SAMUEL EDWIN NORTON (1816-1877) was born in South Carolina and lived in Montgomery Al until after the War, so any deed pertaining to him would have to be AFTER 1865, in fact after 1867 when his wife JULIA ALSTON died in Montgomery. He then moved to GAINESVILLE and married a widow, MRS. SHELTON (that is all I have of her name) but perhaps you could find a SHELTON deed.....or perhaps he inherited land in GAINESVILLE. So I would appreciate a look for NORTON and SHELTON and ALSTON deeds. Thanks so much, Carole Caroline Burnett Cook In a message dated 12/27/98 11:19:04 PM Eastern Standard Time, FLALACHU-D- [email protected] writes: << jpowelljr <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Message-ID: <[email protected]> Subject: Beard Warren - Curry Deed Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit In this one Marshal John BEARD Junior of the Eastern District of Florida sells at auction the property of John WARREN to cover a court judgment for Moses CURRY.
