Dear List: I have just received a death certificate for someone that I believe is a relative. His name is James Chisholm and he was born around 1886, he murdered on the 3rd of February 1906 near Georgetown, Florida in Putnam County. The cause of death was a shot from a. 38 caliber pistol, the death certificate says verdict was a willful murder. James was buried February 4th, 1906 without a funeral director. could anyone tell me where Georgetown is near, and is there a cemetery near there for blacks. Also if anyone has any information on those kinds of killings during those times. Thank you in advance.
