All of the family trees currently available through Ancestry World Tree and WorldConnect will now be available from both sites. The combined database will include more than 150 million names once the integration is complete. The combination of these databases makes Ancestry World Tree the largest database of free family trees available online. Although the value of this database will continue to grow as more trees are added, Ancestry.com and Rootsweb are still committed to provide free access to this valuable collection. Additionally, the data submitted to Ancestry World Tree will never be sold online or on CD-ROM, and those who contribute their family trees will always retain ownership of their files. Finding leads and collaborating with other genealogists has never been easier. The combined offering will have all of the functionality Rootsweb users currently enjoy on WorldConnect, which includes more advanced searching options and a number of new reports.
