In 1869, just after freedom theybought 681 acres of land from William A.Colcolough. My great grandfather name was Tom chisholm, he was born in 1852 in Windsor, Florida. So I am trying to find any information, about whose plantation that they may have lived on, where did they grow 35,000lbs of sea island cotton at. also can anyone lead me to Alachua slave census for the year 1860, it seems to me there would be something written down about the cotton transaction .Any help would be appreciated.
