Surnames: nichols Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/BZ.2ADI/650.1 Message Board Post: Luther Nichols was my husbands g g granfather his ggrandmother was Mary Melissa Nichols we were told by his grandmother that Mary Melissa's mothers name was Melissa(no last name) and that she was full blooded Indian.My problem is the actual birth date of Mary Melissa her tombstone has her born Apr 1885,death ceritificate 1887, and 1900 census says 1886, which could effect which woman is her mother. Hope this is helps, I haven't been able to find out much about this familly.
