    3. Hi List... I have begun to place online images of the typed Deed Index Books. I am also creating a 2 step process to add them to our database. The first step will be to enter all of names from each page into a form that I created today. The second step will be to compare the names that are entered in step 1 to the deed book pages. In this step we will make corrections and add dates, property descriptions and additional names to the database. I would like a couple of Volunteers to try out the new form. Here is a little information about the form. The Step 1 form is listed on the Volunteer Page as "Index Deed Book from Index Images, Under Construction". This form consists of a page of 40 lines for entry of Grantor Surname, Grantor Given Name, Grantee Surname, Grantee Given Name, Book and Page. Enter one form line for each index line. Enter only one Grantor Name and one Grantee Name per index line. Additional Names can be added in Step 2. Do not leave blank lines between entries. Each line with data must have a Grantor Surname entry. You should never fill up all 40 lines. Enter all lines from the Index Page into the form before you hit "Enter" or click on "Insert Records". There is one potential problem, the form sets a flag to tell the form to go to the next page after you have entered the page. This will allow 2 Volunteers to work on the same page at the same time and would result in double entries. I will try and fix this tomorrow. So for now pick a page other than the first page listed in the page menu. If you want to try and have a User ID, please do try it out. If you want to try and don't have a User ID, please fill out this form to get one... http://www.clerk-alachua-fl.org/Archive/CFDocs/Common/SurInsert.cfm If you have any problems, suggestions or questions, please email me.
