I needed a new program. I am seconding what Lee says. I Googled "compare genealogy software programs. A check-list came up, comparing all the programs named below, based on the features they offered. I had run into several problems with my old program, based as Lee says, on how I approach this/my mind works. I did NOT choose the top-rated program listed below but one further down the line because it offered features that addressed my personal needs which the others did not. After seeing this list, I went back to my print-out, worrying that I had made a mistake. When reviewing the check-list, I came to the same conclusion, based, as Lee says, on the way my mind works/what features I personally need. BES On Mon, Jan 2, 2012 at 10:28 PM, L. L. One additional thing I consider is whether or not I might be able to get local help for whatever program I select. If 15 people use program D while I use program G it might be difficult to get help. Then again if the company that writes your chosen software has hot lines and other support tools you might be just fine. On 1/3/2012 12:10 AM, Betty Sparks wrote: > I needed a new program.
