It would be possible to get those early Esc. Co. FL marriage books scanned if Mr. Magaha would approve it. You might want to discuss this at the WFGS meeting Saturday and see if some folks would write letters or make phone calls to show enough interest in the project. Letters might be more effective. The archives has a scanner large enough to do it. If Mr. Magaha does it himself, it would be up to him to decide what to do with it. But, hopefully it would be made available to the society to put on our Genweb page. There is a computer at the archives especially for genealogists' use. Perhaps it could go on there. We could scan the books ourselves, but I do know of anyone in the group with a large enough machine. Ginny Deagan was concerned about the size of the files and not being able to open them, but I was told that the data could be broken down into smaller files and could be opened.
