One of the objectives we are working toward in the WFGS this year is to establish a liaison with neighboring societies to share information on speakers. It's always hard to come up with a good speaker every month - especially if the subject has to be related to genealogy somehow. To that end, I am requesting those of you who are willing to be a speaker to a neighboring society to let me have your subjects and what sort of support you need to give your presentation (for example, a Power Point reader and a projector and screen.) I'll also need to have your contact info (e-mail or phone) to pass to the other societies so they can get hold of you to schedule you to give a presentation to them. I am already in contact with the Baldwin County Genealogical Society which meets at 10 a.m. on the second Saturday of every month. As contacts spread to the Santa Rosa and Okaloosa, FL and Escambia, AL societies we should have the start of a nice network of speakers and opportunities to speak available to us in WFGS. Hoping to hear from a number of you excellent WFGS speakers soon so I can get something going on this. Jerry Merritt
