Lee, Everything that John Bush says is true, but as he say it is a great genealogical tool. You still must get out and use the other means of genealogical methods. One thing the DNA testing doesn't do is tell you who your ancestor is specifically. It can tell you what group you belong to and where your ancestors were from, but not say London or Dochester, but rather the British Isles, Germany, etc. The great thing is can do is put you in touch with cousins that may have the paper to get you to that relative from say Dorchester, etc. That is what it did for me. I am missing a link in the middle to a guy that was born in VA in 1706. However, one of the guys I match has the paper to prove he is related to this guy so now I am able to show I do belong to Thomas Parks, b. 1706. But the DNA doesn't help me find the guy in the middle, but at least I know I am searching the correct path. Good day. Ron
