Thank you, Jerry Merritt, for a fabulous presentation last Saturday! It was wonderful. I am stumped over troop movements during the War of 1812, so I thought I would collectively ask everyone for advice. I know of several ancestors who served in the North Carolina Militia, 3rd Regiment, during the War of 1812. How can I research where the various companies may have travelled, short of paying the $85 dollars each for NARA's veteran records? I suspect it was the War of 1812 that brought my ancestors to the Tensaw Region. I know they were together in Moore's Company, 3rd Regiment, North Carolina Militia. I just can't find troop movement information. Am I missing something obvious? Thanks for any advice. Shirley Shirley Booth Byerly, M.A.; M.S.C.E. 21745 Hubbard Road Robertsdale, AL 36567
