Florida sadly lags extremely far behind everyone else with practically no government operations to preserve, or digitize, old records other than those that will bring in money for their viewing/copying. I was born and raised in the middle of the state and still have many relatives primarily in the upper half and panhandle and have had all kinds of problems other counties of research as well.
