I'd like to remind folks of what I said at the last meeting of the Society. Online, if you go to the website, www.pqarchiver.com Click on the box that says "partners" Here you will find a list of all the newspapers that are indexed; the Pensacola News Journal is indexed from 2002 to present, and I even found the obituaries that were in yesterday's (June 19th) newspaper already online. This is a fantastic index not only for Pensacola but all the many other newspapers that are covered. For researchers and genealogists, you can buy copies of the articles, but we use it primarily to locate obituries, etc. which we can easily scan from our microfilm and e-mail anywhere in the world. June King Spear I thought I would let you know that Elmer had an automobile accident on the way home from Birmingham yesterday and is in the neuro intensive care unit at UAB. He has head trauma with 7 staples in the left side of his head and he has bleeding on the brain. It was a one car accident at exit 208 on I-65. It was raining and he hit the guard rail and they had to cut the driver's door off to get him out. He was life flighted to UAB. 6 hours ago ·

I am glad that at least Bonnie understood what I said. We do not publish our data online especially on living. It was only an attempt to help Cynthia's project and save the cost of postage. >What Lee meant is that the form itself marked "for WFGS Members Only" could >be available on the WFGS site.
I just meant the form itself. The reader would print the form out and mail it in. None of the info would be kept on the web site. As you refine the form, it could be changed, of course. I was just saying that anyone could send in the form if they were, for instance, looking for their relatives in Pensacola and they lived in Alaska, or some such scenario. I agree with Cynthia; I personally would not like to have any information I have provided to WFGS posted on the web. There are enough websites for family ties and research already and I don't want just anyone having access to some of the information I have provided. I have sent the form to everyone who requested it. I don't understand the point of having it on the web site???? Cynthia
The filled out form could be temporary as someone fills it out and clicks "submit" or "e-mail," and then disappear. Anyone filling it out would only be presented with the template. That would eliminate the confidential information aspect. I don't know. There's all kinds of sites on web for people to exchange surname information, i.e., Roots Message Boards, etc. Bonnie, do you mean you would keep all that info on your web site? Personally, I am not interested in sorting out and keeping up with info other than for our members. It's enough work already. Cynthia
