Thank you, Cynthia. Those are very good directions. Bruce Rova -----Original Message----- From: fl-wfgs-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:fl-wfgs-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Cynthia Dean Sent: Thursday, September 29, 2011 2:26 PM To: FL-WFGS@rootsweb.com Subject: [FL-WFGS] Poarch Creek Indian program - directions We have had questions about the new location for the meeting. It's really easy to find If you know where you are going. It is just behind the city swimming pool on Summit Blvd. Summit Blvd runs around the south end of the airport from Scenic Hwy (Hwy 90) to 12th Ave. Coming from Scenic Hwy, go almost to 12th Ave. Pass Roger Scott Tennis Center on the right, and turn right just beyond the city swimming pool complex (the west side of it), which is clearly visible from Summit. There is no street name to turn onto, but there is a sign that says Roger Scott Athletic Complex. After you turn, take the 2nd driveway to the right through the green gates. You're now in the parking lot of the Vickrey Center. The door is toward the middle of the building. If you enter there, I believe our meeting room with be the one right there on your left. The drive way goes all the way around the building with more parking and more entry doors, but all the halls lead to the center of the building, so it does not really matter where you enter. There's a little office in the center of the building. We will have greeters to direct you. Vickrey Center phone: 850-912-4056 The Haven of Peace is a little farther west toward 12th. If this is still not clear, let me know. This WFGS meeting is at 10:00 Sat., Oct. 1. Thank you, Cynthia for putting out this e-mail. If possible, could you arrange (beg for) a small article in the PNJ? Quite a few years ago, we got some response from the community. Also, we need a notice in the WFGS newsletter in October. If we get desperate, we may have to take articles into November. We have only about 3 articles right now. All are good, but that isn't enough to make a Footprints. Thanks to anyone who can do some research and submit articles! Soon! My husband had knee replacement. Came home for 1 day (on blood thinners), then back in the hospital with a bleeding ulcer. He was critical for a time, but he's home now and doing well. I am running around slowly but surely, so I need for these articles to be sent in at the earliest possible time. Again, thank you!
