    3. I have an old (1984) inventory of St. Paul Cemetery, Walnut Hill, with a good number of COOPER and VAUGHN names. Many of these names are identical, or nearly so, to others at the old Vaughn Cemetery at Molino. There other related families on this list St. Paul list: HALL and WINDHAM, for example. Where is the St. Paul Cemetery?

    3. The Haven or Our Lady of Peace is a wonderful place doing a great service. I had the privilege of doing a Protestant Worship Service for a long while on Sunday afternoons, both when it was still located on the Sacred Heart Hospital compound and in its new place on Summit Blv'd. Interestingly, it is a cooperative venture of both the United Methodist Church and the Catholic Church. Lots of history in those walls. Yesterday I got the thought of asking both the Pensacola News Journal and WEAR to do a public-service piece by interviewing folks in the Pensacola area Retirement homes and Nursing homes just to hear/read some of the history these folks have. Thanks. Grady Lea ----- Original Message ----- From: "L.L. 3. HILL. My dad was the real genealogist; his name was Wiley Benjamin Hill, Jr. He left me all of his genealogy, which I now have to put into digital mode on my Personal Ancestral File genealogy software! I'm sure that it was probably him and maybe my mom that took us to the circus. Her name was Opal Givens and she was from Niceville/Crestview area. They met and married when I was a year old, so he adopted me. My bio-paternal (birth name) is WINTERS. So, I work incoherently on all three lines, simultaneously...here a little, there a little, never getting a lot done on any one line! Am I like everyone else--love to research and find stuff, hate to enter the data on the computer? emilys wrote: >afraid I am old enought. I remember the twins but not the kewpie dolls in >the circus. 3. During a luncheon with the Brownsville Boys Social Club I asked several members were the pottery plant was located. Since most of the members were News Journal paper boys they all knew the area very well. All who were question said the pottery plant was locate on the North side of Pottery Plant Road (Fairfield Drive) West of 'W' Street in the area where Kiker's U-Pull-It is now located. The building I thought was the pottery plant, at Fairfield Drive and 'H' Street, was a sausage plant that was later a store that did sell pottery. Malcom Strickland

    3. I have fond memories of the circus also as an African American growing up in Pensacola. My grandfather took me and my brother to the see the circus unload in the morning and my grandmother took us to see the parade in the afternoon and then to the circus. I remember the first time I saw and heard the Calioppe it frightened me so I ran. The last time I saw the circus perform was in Longview, Texas and I was able to give my children that experience. I think it was shortly after that that Ringling Bros. had that big fire in Hartford, Conn. One could contact the organization and receive additional information. http://www.arcflorida.org/page.php?/ The Sunland Center name has recently been changed to Tacahale as it had been closed.
