My G> grandmother had these letters after her name (not part of her name) C. F. Does any one know what they mean? My father said she was Seminole , my cousin said her family always said she was Cherokee. She was Indian for sure but I don't know which tribe. She married John Ponchier in the late 1700s or early 1800s. Only guessing because of ages of my grandmother Susan Ponchier born 1842. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Always Clydie D. Russell
