I need fast help. My daughter is in the middle of having her daughter of a former marriage being adoped by her present husband. At the adoption meeting they asked her if she was descended from any native Americans and she said yes....blah blah blah and went on to tell about her fathers grandmother being born in Oklahoma etc. She was then told that before her daughters adoption could go through they had to get her daughters Dawes Roll number. In other words we have to find out if my daughters gg grandparents registered. I know their names but I don't know if they or their parents registered. My daughter's great grandmother Martha Frances Warren was born in Soper Oklahoma Feb 2, 1901. That is Choctaw County.. Her father's name is Lee Warren and her mother is Winnie Halford. No body in the family has ever bothered to find out their roll numbers. Now we must find out- and either get one or get rejected one way or another. Where does one go to find if a name is on the rolls?
