Hello everyone, I am hoping that someone out there will be able to help me with some information on my great grandpa. My great grandpa Elijah Runnion was born in WV. He was born 15 Sept. 1868. On August 10, 1889, he married Mary Moore of Roane County WV. My grandpa is said to be Indian (cherokee). Him and Mary had the following children: Effa May Runnion 18 May 1890 Lydia Jane Runnion Feb. 1891 Matthew Runnion May 1894. Sometime after Matthew's birth, around 1900, Mary Moore Runnion committed suicide. The children were sent to live with the following people, Effa Runnion was sent to live with the Calvin Price family. Matthew was adopted by the Loyd M. Kelly family Lydia, I do not know who took her in. My great grandfather roamed around playing the fiddle. I recently found out that he was a bound-boy living with the Hiram Cummings family in the 1880's. He remarried a woman named Rebecca in 1928, and died in Pinch WV. 3 May 1944. If you have any information on my great grandfather Elijah Runnion, I would deeply appreciate any information. I am also intrested in hearing from children of his second family, Aunt's, Uncles, and would like to know the name of his parents. I would really appreciate any help anyone can give me.
