I have been searching for family history and think I have discovered why I have come up empty handed. I am looking for Marion Smith, Mary Alice (Molly) Saterfield Smith, Royce Miles Wooten, Maggie Wooten and their children one inparticular..William Miles Wooten Smith. William was born October 24, 1900 in what I thought was Hart, Ok. But I think there really wasn't a Hart until 1907? Therefore perhaps he was born in what was I.T. maybe i need to look in that direction for some answers? The I.T. would have been Chickasaw Nation. He was born a Wooten in 1900 and then adopted in 1901 by the Smiths. Any suggestions or comments. I really could use some help, I am new to this genealogy stuff and already frustrated!!
