    2. NATHAN AND TINA
    3. I have been searching for family history and think I have discovered why I have come up empty handed. I am looking for Marion Smith, Mary Alice (Molly) Saterfield Smith, Royce Miles Wooten, Maggie Wooten and their children one inparticular..William Miles Wooten Smith. William was born October 24, 1900 in what I thought was Hart, Ok. But I think there really wasn't a Hart until 1907? Therefore perhaps he was born in what was I.T. maybe i need to look in that direction for some answers? The I.T. would have been Chickasaw Nation. He was born a Wooten in 1900 and then adopted in 1901 by the Smiths. Any suggestions or comments. I really could use some help, I am new to this genealogy stuff and already frustrated!!

    3. I am trying to research family history. I was going from the angle of County and City (Pontotoc County, Hart, Oklahoma), in my findings the dates I am in dealing with are 1899-1900-1901, which i have been told those places were not in existen (name wise) until 1906-1907, that the area was I.T., therefore I should check Chickasaw records for the families I am researching. Any suggestions?

Was son of Daniel Frederick Wiswell >And Colistia Ann Culver Can anyone give me the indian roll number I do >not have it. > When people say Indian roll number, they usually mean Dawes Rolls. The only people who are included in the final Dawes Rolls are people who meet ALL of these conditions: 1) They were members of one of the Five Civilized Tribes (Choctaw, Chickasaw, Cherokee, Creek, Seminole), the spouse of a member, or the descendant of a slave who belonged to a member of one of the Five Tribes. AND 2) They lived in Indian Territory (now part of Oklahoma) during enrollment. Exception: There are Mississippi Choctaws in the index. AND 3) They were alive in 1902. Exception: Some infants and children were enrolled up until 1906. If you have an ancestor that you think probably meets all these conditions, give me the names, and about how old they were in 1902, and I'll be happy to check and see if they appear in the index. Women enrolled using their husbands' last names. Beverly missbev@theshop.net

I have since mis-placed the address and I`m not sure which of the above list the query was on, so am sending it to both as it has Native American information which may apply to either list. 2. I know this may not be the right place but here goes anyway. I was hoping to get my granddaughters into appreciating their Cherokee heritage. So I was wondering if there is someone or some place where I can get them "Cherokee" names in the Cherokee language. We have decided what the English equivalent will be. Granddaughter 1 is "little picky eater"; granddaughter 2 is "girl who likes clothes" and granddaughter 3 is "girl with little body and big attitude"; granddaughter 4 is "girl who likes to bounce". I know this may sound silly but there it is.
