February 17, 2002 February 18, 2002 Oakland Press Oakland County, Michigan MARY ELIZABETH BELL BELL, MARY ELIZABETH; of Frankenmuth; former long time resident of Pontiac; died Saturday, February 16, 2002 at 7:30 a.m. at the Lutheran Home in Frankenmuth at the age of 87; loving wife of Russel C. Bell, whom she married October 25, 1933 in Pontiac; beloved mother of Betty M. (Ronald) Schultz of Frankenmuth, Dorothy Bell of Champaign, Illinois and the late Ruth Streit; beloved grandmother of R.B. Streit of Redford, Brian Schultz of Castle Rock, CO, Jennifer (Randall) Robichaud of Kirkland, WA and Bradley Schultz of Itasca, IL; great-grandmother of Kayla Streit and Alexis Robichaud. Mrs. Bell was born June 9, 1914 in Darke County, Pitsburg, Ohio to Minnie and David Fitzwater. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Ruth Streit; four sisters; and two brothers. Mrs. Bell graduated from Pontiac High School in 1933 as a member of the National Honor Society. In past years she was active in the Parent-Teacher Association, was a volunteer with the American Red Cross and attended the Oakland Avenue Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 19, 2002, 11 a.m. at the RIVERSIDE CHAPEL, Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford. Officiating Reverend Thomas A. Dages. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Interment White Chapel Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Oakland Avenue Church.
