"June" Fitzwater Jr., 70, of Hagerstown, and formerly of Rockville, Md., died Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Washington County Hospital. Born Sept. 3, 1935, in Boyds, Md., he was the son of the late Herman H. and Nellie V. Cullers Fitzwater. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lucille F. Fitzwater; four children, Jean Carder of Boonsboro, Janice Powers of Germantown, Md., Joan Hill of Hagerstown and Lisa Chiders of Williamsport; two sisters, Mary Virts of Boyds and Loretta Jeffers of Monrovia, Md.; one brother, Armer Fitzwater of Mount Airy, Md.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Beverly S. Fitzwater; two sisters, Ina Haines and Veda Stottlemyer; and one brother, Kevin Fitzwater. Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Hilton Funeral Home in Barnesville, Md. Burial will follow in Parklawn Cemetery in Rockville. The family will receive friends today from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
