May 28, 2002 Bowling Green Sentinel Tribune Bowling Green, Ohio James Lee Fitzwater, 59, of Bowling Green, died today (May 28, 2002) at his residence. He worked for GTE for 20 years and for Bee Gee Rental for the past seven years. Born July 16, 1942 in Bowling Green to Ralph and Jerry (Digby) Fitzwater, he married Carole Schatzke on Jan. 22, 1972 in Angola, Ind., and she survives. Also surviving are his foster parents, Ike and Marian Loose, Pemberville; a son, Andrew Hilliard; a daughter, Lisa Jacobs, Toledo; four sisters, Cindy Fitzwater, Findlay, Kathy Fitzwater, Wyoming, Sally Fitzwater, Kansas and Vicky Fitzwater, Florida; one foster sister, Marylou Loose, Bowling Green; six brothers, Bill, Duke and Mike, all of Wyoming, Harry, Minnesota, Ralph, California, and Rick, Toledo; a foster brother, Chest Loose, Lancaster; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Brandie Fitzwater; a brother, John Fitzwater; and a sister, Penny Fitzwater. The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Rev. Bruce McDaniel will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorials may be made to Christ United methodist Church, Portage, Ohio 43451.
