He was a retired Army sergeant with 22 years' service, a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars, and a member of VFW. Surviving: mother, Gracie Bostic *Fitzwater* of Rupert; sisters, June Chrisman of Rupert, Dreama Thomas of Williamsburg, Rhonda Lewis of Harmony, N.C.; brothers, Harold of New Hampshire, Walton of Clintonville, Larry B. of Youngstown, Ohio, Merlin of West Frankfort, Ill., Tilson of Rupert.
