Date: After July 10, 1997 Charleston Gazette Charleston, West Virginia RAINELLE - Alvie H. *Fitzwater* Jr., 50, of Rainelle died July 10, 1997, in Appalachian Regional Hospital, Beckley, after a long illness. He was a 25-year resident of Rainelle, a member of Sewell Valley Baptist Church, where he served as junior boys' Sunday school teacher, and junior church worker for 15 years. He was a disabled miner and safety instructor, and was currently assistant manager of Sewell Creek Water Company. Surviving: wife, Pamela Carroll *Fitzwater*; daughter, Stori *Fitzwater* Pugh of Ripley; son, Ryan Houston *Fitzwater*, at home; sisters, Effie Martin of Clintonville, Violet Tuttle of Campbells Creek, Nancy Martin of Smoot. Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Sewell Valley Baptist Church, Rainelle, with the Rev. Jim Yearego officiating. Burial will be in Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home Chapel, Rainelle, and one hour prior to service Sunday at the church.
