January 25, 2004 Charleston Daily News Charleston, West Virginia *Wilbert Ray Fitzwater* HANSFORD - Wilbert Ray Fitzwater of Hansford went home to be with the Lord Jan. 22, 2004, at home after a short illness. Born June 8, 1929, Ray was the son of the late James and Goldie Fitzwater. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Rovel Consentio Fitzwater; and one brother, Johnny Fitzwater. Ray worked as a coal miner for Semet-Solvey Harewood Division and Armco Steel with 38 years of service. He is survived by his second wife, Dorothy Campbell Fitzwater; his daughters, Julia "Judy" Daniels and Cynthia "Cindy Jo" Fitzwater; son-in-law, Ira Daniels; grandson, Tony Daniels and friend, Linda Lockhart; great-granddaughter, Ginger Daniels; a brother and his wife, Thurmon and Virginia Fitzwater; and several nieces and nephews. Service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, at High Lawn Funeral Chapel, Oak Hill, with the Rev. Kenneth Short officiating. Burial will be in High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kanawha Hospice Care Inc., 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064.
