Now according to the census of 1900, 1910, and 1920 one of my ancestors Eli Fitzwater came from Ky to TX at the latest in 1860. Cannot find any Fitzwater family to lay claim to Eli, born circa 1840, joined TX Rangers in 1860. Married a Martha "Mattie" Calloway circa 1862 and had a son named Thomas Fitzwater born between 1864-66.. Appreciate all and any responses.
