I have the Fitzwater Families in America Book and I will look up your Fitzwater ancestor. My great grand mother was Lola Nora Fitzwater who married Elisha Ray Morrison in 1906 in Belva, Fayette Co, West Virginia. Her family had been in the area for about 100 years. I actually visited the area last April and found both cemetaries I was looking for with my Fitzwater Great Great Great Grandparents, and my Great, Great, Great, Great Grandparents. They were Jacob Portsmant and Edna Nichols Fitzwater, and Thomas, Mary, and Elizabeth Fitzwater. They lived or were born in Nicholas County VA/WV. The county courthouse in Sommersville should be supported by Fitzwater's they had so much infomation on them. I will let you know what I discover. If your ancestors are from that area, chances are we are related.
