Surnames: Fitzwater, Stiles Classification: Death Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/GdW.2ACIB/227.3 Message Board Post: I have found at last the copies I made in Lebanon at the Warren Co., OH Archives Center the Death records of Thomas Fitzwater & his wife Augusta as follows: Record of Deaths, Probate Court, Warren County, Ohio pg 446 line: 23; Name in Full: Fitzwater, Thomas; Date of Death: 1883 Jan 11; Condition: Married; Age: 70 yr 11 m 30 dy; Place of Death: Harlan Twp; Place of Birth: Sims (sic) Tp O.; Occupation: Cooper; Name of Parents when an infant without name: (blank); Color: White; Disease, Direct or Indirect Cause of Death: Typhoid Pneuno.; Place of residence: Harlan Tp.; By Whom Reported: Sarah Stiles. line: 24; Name in full: Fitzwater, Augusta; Date of Death: 1883 Jan 16; Condition: Widowed; Age: 69 y 11 m; Place of Death: Harlan Tp.; Place of Birth: Vermont; Occupation: Housewife; Name of Parents when an infant without name: (blank); Color: White; Disease, Direct or Indirect Cause of Death: Typhoid Pneuno.; Place of Residence: Harlan Tp.; By Whom Reported: Sarah Stiles. The Application to Probate Augusta's will gave her death as 17th January 1882 & the Administration book lists her death as 17th of January 1884, whereas the above death records lists her death as the 16th of January 1883. Both Thomas & Augusta's death's were reported to the court at the same time by their daughter, but there is no indication in the book when this occured. This page lists all of the "F" surnames and there are a few 1883 deaths listed before, but also some 1882 deaths after, so it does not appear certain when either died, except that Thomas died before Augusta (he's listed as married, she is listed as a widow).
