March 2, 2002 Sentinel Carlisle, Pennsylvania Memorial services for Sandra Lee Barley Fitzwater, 63, of 2813 James Drive, Alexandria, Va., were held Thursday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alexandria. She died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2002, at home. Born Feb. 18, 1939, in Carlisle, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Mary Barley. A 1957 graduate of Carlisle High School, Mrs. Fitzwater retired in 2001 from US Air. She began her career in the airline industry in 1959 with Eastern Airlines and later worked for National Airlines. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Donald Fitzwater; a daughter, Kristi Purdy of Centreville, Va.; a brother, William Barley of Carlisle; two sisters, Isabel Unger and June Watt, both of Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews.
