Fitzwater Mount Nebo, WV James A Fitzwater, 51, of Mount Nebo, Nicholas County, died Friday, Jan 25, 2002, at his home. Born Nov. 21, 1950, in Summersville, he was the son of Chaus W. and Mary Keener Fitzwater of Summersville. He was a chief electrician and mine forman for Lightning Contract Services in Teays Valley, a former employee of Cannelton Coal Co., Maple Meadows Coal Co., and John Brown Harris Coal Co. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Nicholas Memorial Golf Association, and was an avid athlete involved in golf, softball, basketball and football in high school and college. Surviving besides his parents are his wife, Deanna Davis Fitzwater; two sons, James A Fitzwater II of Summersville and Christopher Bryan Fitzwater at home; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Fitzwater at home; three brothers John and his wife Judith Fitzwater of Parkersburg, Don and his wife Penny Fitzwater of Craigsville, and Tim and his wife, Mary Fitzwater; three sisters, Karen Sue and her husband, Bill McCutcheon, Kathy Thopson and Patricia McLean, all of Summersville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 29, 2002, at White Funeral Home, Summersville, with the Rev Bud Truman officiating. Interment will follow in Baughman Cemetery on Widen-Dille Road, near Birch River. Friends may call at White Funeral Home, Summersville, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Greenbrier Valley Hospice Inc. 610 Church St., Summersville, WV 26651.
