Page 550 In the name of the Benevolent father of all I Augusta Fitzwater do make and publish this my last will and testament. 1st I give and devise and bequeath to my son Charles S. Fitzwater at my death my house and lot consisting about one acre of ground which I now occupy Situate in the Township of Harlan, County of Warren and State of Ohio. If the said Clarles L. Fitzwater should die before the decease of myself, then it is my will that said house and lot shall go to his heirs. Signed sealed and acknowledged by said Augusta Fitzwater as he last will and testament in our presence and signed by us in her presence. Application to Probate Will To The Honorable, The Judge of Said Court: And now comes Charles L. Fitzwatter and produces for admission to Probate in said Court, the last Will and Testament of Augusta Fitzwater late of resident of the Township of Harlan in said County, who died on the 17 day of January A. D. 1882. And says that said Testatrix died leaving no husband and the following persons; all of her next of kin resident in the State of Ohio. Sarah Stiles Daughter P.O. D. 1884. Joseph W. Octeall Probate Judge. By W. C. Maple, Deputy. Submtter's notes: Augusta was wife of Thomas Fitzwater (married Hamilton Co., OH 9 Sep 1832. She was born in Vermont ca. 1814 daughter of Benjamin Stiles & Margery Brewster (of Mayflower descent). Thomas & Augusta's daughter Mary Elizabeth Fitzwater married Frederick Boorom Aug. 1, 1865. Mary Elizabeth Fitzwater Boorom died January 3, 1882. If above date in the probate papers is correct for Augusta's death, she died 2 weeks after her daughter & by that time her husband Thomas was also dead (according to the undated will). I have seen & think I have a copy somewhere here hiding in a pile of the ledger entry in Warren Co., for the death of both Thomas & Augusta, to which there was some question as to the accuracy. The deaths were reported by their daughter Sarah Stiles sometime after the fact. Also worth noting here: Sarah Fitzwater had married her first cousin, Benjamin Harper Stiles. Linda Boorom
