9 October 2005 The Charleston Gazette Charleston, West Virginia Ruth Ann Flowers, 88, a resident of Sweet Briar, Dunbar, formerly of St. Albans, passed away Friday, October 7, 2005. She was born September 30, 1917. She was preceded in death by parents, Joseph B. and Nancy D. Creech; brothers, Earl Creech, Homer Creech, Arnold Creech, and Douglass Creech. Ruth retired from the Ohio Public Employees System after many years of home care of seniors. She is survived by daughter, Patricia Gail Catalano of East Brunswick, N.J.; three sons and their wives, Conrad and Phyllis Fitzwater of South Charleston, Gary and Jan Fitzwater of Panama City Beach, Fla., and Phillip and Sandy Fitzwater of South Charleston; one sister, Wanda Kaneday of Winfield; five brothers, Eugene Creech and Wilmer Creech of Alum Creek, William and Donald Creech of Thornville, Ohio, and Alvin Creech of Avon Park, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 10, at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek, with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Memorial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home.
