August 25, 2004 Charleston Daily Mail Charleston, West Virginia Elsie M. Friend, 70, of St. Albans passed away Sunday, Aug. 22, 2004, at her home. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Stella Fitzwater; her daughter, Barbara Lacy; her grandson, Robbie Friend; and her brothers, Curtis and Byron Fitzwater. Surviving Elsie are her husband, Lloyd R. Friend; son and his wife, Richard and Linda; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, St. Albans, with Pastor Frank Chapman and Evangelist Matt Friend officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, 110 B St., St. Albans, WV 25177.
